Jenny & Callum at Oran Mor

Jenny and Callum were wed on a warm, calm day in November in the West End of Glesgae Toon.

I love Oran Mor... it is such a striking venue outside and in. The ceiling mural by Alasdair Grey is amazing.... and just the thing, to be married under the stars....

The Brides flowers were a striking mix of deep pink, purple and ivory...

Candelabra on the tables were decorated with a mix of fuchsia and white hydrangea with a little green stuff!

Jenny and Callum's day was captured beautifully by Nick at NDK wedding Photography....

Congratulations Jenny and Callum!

Best Scottish Wedding Magazine - Autumn

We have some lovely flowers pictured in the latest edition of The Best Scottish Weddings magazine... here is a sneaky look at our flowers... but don't forget to pick up your copy for lots of inspiration!

Our interesting bouquet this time was a bit of a wild card... as it is not our usual soft style... but still keeping it nice and natural by being true to the shape of the flowers. Inspired by the bright flowers at the market we created a bold handtie of Hydrangea, Celosia, Rice flower, Green Goddess Roses and little button Crysants.... finished off with a cute piece of vintage fabric.

We were asked to submit a table centre which used roses.... we absolutely love roses!!
So we went straight to our favourite British grower to get some of our favourite scented roses.
If only you could smell them... they are so delicious!!
We used a circular wooden container (which we have salvaged of course!) filled it with seasonal foliage and gorgeous natural greenery... then added our delightful roses....
Beautiful!

Next we have a perfectly presented corsage... made by our friend Katherine from Wishing Well Flowers New Zealand!
Katherine used lovely natural greenery including moss, fountain grass and contorta.... berries, button Crysants and Paua shell that she brought from home :)
We absolutely love Katherine's style..... can't wait to have her back with us next year!

This edition of The Best Scottish Wedding Magazine will be available at the Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC on the 17th & 18th September..... We will be there too! Stand 407C... visit us!!

Vicky & Andrew - July 2010

Vicky and Andrew were married on a warm rainy day in Glasgow City centre.... they first had their ceremony at the Recital Rooms at City Halls and then moved on to WEST brewery for their reception.
The style of the day was natural.... laid back cool and being true to their individuality.

Vicky's bouquet was a beautiful mix of blues and cream, with a hint of green.... we used gorgeous blue hydrangea to create the base colouring and added roses, Calla lilies, green trick, nigella and scabiosia....

We created two gorgeous arrangements for Vicky and Andrews ceremony, they were super natural with some wild flowing branches and loads of mixed greenery. Vicky's choice of colours stood out perfectly against the white backdrop of the Recital Rooms.
Small heart shaped chairbacks in white with a hint of blue were placed on the aisle...

Then it was off to WEST brewery for the reception..... we decorated the venue with Vicky's vintage bunting, and on the tables we placed little glass jars filled with a mix of country blooms and greenery.....
Vicky and Andrew decided not to have a traditional wedding cake... instead they invited their friends and family to bake or create something delicious and bring it along. We added to the cake table a few vintage tea cups and silverware..... it looked brilliant! One of the best ideas... tricky to pull off but we reckon Vicky and her friends nailed it!!

Congratulations Vicky and Andrew!!

A wonderful wedding!
